Hi! My name is Alexandra. I am 31. I work with both adults and kids. Flexible, easy-going, patient and punctual. I can speak practical business English and also use language on an everyday basis since I am married to an English speaker. I prefer real practice over focusing on rules. Speaking a language is not about perfect grammar, but about being understood. We will work on expanding your vocabulary, expressing your thoughts clearly, overcoming the fear of making mistakes, and improving pronunciation. We'll read articles and books, discuss stories, films, TV series, or your personal interests. For work English, classes can be very flexible. Let’s say tomorrow you need to give a presentation in English and you feel insecure. We will rehearse the content, pronunciation, and pace, practice what questions might pop up, and how to respond to them. Or if you are about to go to a conference, we can practice your self-presentation. For school kids, we can do homework if needed, but a better approach is to go over the past school program to identify weak spots and close all the gaps. After that, we can follow the school curriculum so they feel more confident in class, get good grades, tackle exams, and eventually stay ahead of the program while building language goals outside of school. For relationships, we can focus on the vocabulary that you use in everyday life and with your partner: expressing feelings and emotions, discussing chores, plans for the day, or your views on whatever comes up.
