I worked as a primary school teacher from 1980 to 2020 in both Estonian- and Russian-language schools. I teach Estonian to adults whose first language is not Estonian at the BT private school, and currently teach two online groups at B2 level. I serve as a deacon at Käsmu Congregation of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church.

If Estonian is not your first language, I prefer to use the immersion method. This means that we speak only in the language being taught and use visual materials and similar resources for explanations; nothing is translated. You should not be afraid of making mistakes when speaking; the most important thing is to understand one another.
