Hello! My name is Christi, and I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic English tutor from South Africa. I am currently studying Education and have practical classroom experience, including planning, facilitating and teaching lessons. I also have approximately one year of teaching and classroom-assisting experience. I enjoy helping students become more confident when communicating in English through relaxed and engaging conversations. My lessons can include discussions about everyday life, hobbies, interests, food, movies, television, travel, culture and other topics that interest you. I work especially well with young learners, but I am happy to teach students of different ages and English levels. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students can speak, make mistakes, ask questions and gradually become more confident using English. My lessons are friendly, relaxed and conversation-focused. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while providing support, guidance and corrections when needed. I like to use topics that are interesting and relevant to each student, such as hobbies, school, work, food, movies, television, travel, culture and everyday experiences. I adapt my lessons according to the student's age, level and goals. For younger learners, I use simple explanations, questions, discussions and engaging activities to keep lessons enjoyable. My aim is to help students feel comfortable speaking English and build their confidence through regular conversation practice.
