I am an English teacher from the Philippines with 15 years of teaching experience. I spent 12 years teaching English in the Philippines and three years teaching English Language Arts (ELA) in Florida, USA. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students aged 13–18, helping them develop their communication, reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, major in English, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education, major in English. I am passionate about creating meaningful, student-centered learning experiences that help learners become confident and lifelong learners.

My lessons cover both ELA and General English, including grammar, literature, reading and comprehension, writing, speaking, and listening. I use a student-centered and communicative teaching approach that encourages learners to actively participate in the learning process. In my grammar lessons, I use practical examples and activities to help students apply language rules in meaningful contexts. For literature and reading, I guide students to analyze texts, make inferences, identify main ideas, and connect the content to their own experiences. My writing lessons focus on developing clear ideas, proper organization, grammar, and effective communication. I also incorporate discussions, presentations, role-playing, and collaborative activities to strengthen students’ speaking and listening skills. I aim to create engaging, meaningful lessons that build students’ confidence, critical thinking, and ability to use English effectively in real-life situations.
