Hi. I'm April, an English teacher from the Philippines. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education and a TEFL certification. I've been teaching one-on-one online lessons to students from different countries with different goals, needs, age, and proficiency levels, for a year now. But before that, I also worked as an English high school teacher and a reading tutor in a national program for 3 consecutive years. These experiences helped me become more flexible in adapting my teaching approach. It also taught me that each learner is unique, so I always create a fun and engaging lesson that caters their needs. As a teacher, I believe that a comfortable and supportive learning environment is the best way to keep a student active and motivated in achieving their learning goals.

I create personalized lessons based on my students' needs, goals, and proficiency level. I believe that including the student on creating their own lesson plan is one of the best ways to keep them into learning. I specialize in speaking-focused lessons, but I can also handle the other macro skills very well, such as listening, reading, writing, and viewing. In my class, comfort and engagement are my priorities, so if my student prefers something specific to do, I try my best to accommodate them. The lessons that I make and teach are very flexible, it may contain several activities like mini-games, video clips, stories or any form of literature, and even just conversational topics.
