Hi! I'm Bea, a Filipino English teacher based in Madrid, Spain. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Language from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan and a Master's in Teaching from Instituto Franklin–Universidad de Alcalá. Over the past few years, I've taught young learners in bilingual primary classrooms in Madrid, working as both a Language Assistant and English Teacher. I like to think of my lessons as a mix of structure and heart. Having taught both young children in Spanish primary schools and adult learners, I've learned that real progress happens when students feel safe to make mistakes and curious enough to keep trying. Here's what a lesson with me usually looks like: - We start with real conversation — I want you talking from day one, not just memorising rules. - I break grammar down simply, using examples from everyday life so it actually sticks. - We work on pronunciation together, with lots of repetition and gentle correction (no judgment, ever!). - I bring in materials that match your world — your job, hobbies, age group, or exam needs. - Every lesson ends with encouragement, because confidence is half the battle in learning a new language. I've spent years in classrooms — as a secretary handling academic operations, a student teacher, and now a full-time English teacher — so I understand both the big picture of language learning and the small daily wins that keep students motivated. My goal is simple: to make you feel proud of your progress, one lesson at a time.
