You’re not struggling with the subject. You’re struggling with how it was explained. Most people think they’re bad at writing, bad at speaking, bad at “getting” psychology or history when really, no one ever showed them how their own mind already works with ideas. That’s the gap I work in. I’m Hariette, currently earning academic distinction in Language Studies, with a research and public-speaking résumé that’s taken me from an exchange program in Malaysia to an international stage at the Learning Planet Festival, to fieldwork with an indigenous community in the Sierra Madre. I don’t just know these subjects. I’ve used them under pressure, across cultures, and in front of audiences. What I teach: • English Language - turn “I don’t know how to say this” into command of the page • History - see patterns, not just dates • Public Speaking – lose the shake in your voice, keep the substance • Psychology - concepts that finally click, not just definitions memorized No generic worksheets. I don’t run one fixed method, I read the student first. Some need structure and step-by-step scaffolding to feel secure. Others open up through conversation, following tangents until the concept clicks. Others learn best when I just ask the right questions and let them find the answer themselves. I switch between these depending on what’s actually in front of me, not what’s easiest for me to repeat.
